Who We Are
We're just a couple of missionary kids! Steve's parents were missionaries in Trinidad, the last of the Carribean Islands, and Christy's parents were msissionaries in Venezuela. We met in Venezuela back in 1983 at a boarding school tucked into the Andes mountains. We were married in 1988 and have two children and one grandchild.
About twelve years ago, we met some people who ground their own wheat. We couldn't believe it. We'd never even heard of that! These people made their own bread, tortillas, english muffins, everything. It seemed pretty far fetched.
We started doing a little research about this strange, new concept and found a few startling facts. God created a kernel of grain and packaged it just right so that it would retain all of the goodness He meant for it to have. We were shocked to find that 24 hours after you grind wheat, nearly half of the nutrients are lost. Within days, over 90% of the nutrients are gone. What a waste!
All this information was compelling, but we had young children. There's one thing we knew for sure about healthy foods; they taste terrible! Then we tried the bread, tortilla, cinnamon rolls and other things people were making from freshly ground wheat. Boy was it delicious! That's it. You can't argue with flavor. And to think God came up with the whole idea!
Here we are all these years later. Give it a try, you'll never go back! If you don't know about the Bread of Life, we'd love to share Him with you.
